Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, or grocery shopping. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you are a veteran. No membership is required.
The Hilltown Easy Ride program offers convenient and affordable transportation for older adults residing in the area. With a simple flat fee structure, riders can enjoy trips within the same town for $1.25, travel to adjacent towns for $1.75, and venture beyond adjacent towns for $2.25 one-way. Trips to Senior Centers are discounted at half-fare, making it easier for older adults to access important community resources.
To simplify the payment process, the program offers punch cards in $5 and $10 increments, allowing riders to prepay for multiple trips in advance. By utilizing buses or trains, older adults can safely and comfortably reach their destinations. Scheduling rides in advance ensures timely pickups, and the program's door-to-door service prioritizes convenience and accessibility for all participants.
