Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social or recreational purposes. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you have a disability. No membership is required.
The Transportation Benefit Program offers convenient and affordable transportation options for older adults. Through this program, older adults can access car or van transportation services for a flat fee of $1 per one-way ride, with trips directly to and from the designated Center being free of charge. Riders have the flexibility to pay for their rides using either credit card or cash.
To utilize this program, older adults are required to schedule their rides in advance, ensuring that transportation arrangements are in place at least a few days before the planned trip. The program offers curb-to-curb transportation, prioritizing the comfort and accessibility of older adult riders throughout their journey.
Whether traveling for medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social activities, the Transportation Benefit Program enables older adults to maintain their independence and stay connected with their community through reliable and cost-effective transportation services.
