The Montana Legal Services Developer Program may be able to help you by providing the following services:
- Advocacy: A legal advocate helps you with your legal issues by discussing solutions and a plan of action.
- Legal Advice: An attorney or paralegal may provide legal advice and help you finish the necessary paperwork. You cannot get family or criminal law help through this program.
- Legal Clinics: You can attend legal clinics and training sessions that discuss specific topics, such as powers of attorney or consumer protection. These legal clinics focus on issues facing older adults.
- Legal Education: The program provides presentations in the community to teach older adults about elder law. It provides legal resources, education materials, and information on events.
- Legal Resources: The program works with other agencies and programs to discuss the legal issues faced by older adults and their families.
- Private Attorney Support: Through the Pro Bono Modest Means program, you may be able to get free or low-cost legal assistance.
