The Colorado Legal Services program may be able to provide you with no-cost legal assistance. There are several areas of law you can get help with:
- Consumer Law: Get help with bankruptcy, debt collection, or tax issues as well as identity theft.
- Elder Law: Get help creating a living will, which can document your wishes if you have an illness or injury that prevents you from making sound health or financial choices. You can also get information on your rights to long-term care or assisted living.
- Family Law: Get help with divorce, child support, an order of protection, or grandparent rights.
- Housing Law: Get help with housing or homeownership issues such as foreclosure, eviction, repairs, and landlord-tenant disagreements.
- Public Benefits Law: Get help with applying for and recieiving public benefits such as Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare, veteran’s benefits, and unemployment compensation.
