Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, or grocery shopping. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you have a disability. No membership is required.
The Senior Transportation program offers a convenient and reliable transportation option for older adults who are covered by Medicaid. Fares for this program are based on the distance of the ride, and individuals can call ahead to receive a personalized quote. To ensure a smooth experience, riders are required to schedule their trips in advance, with a recommended notice of a few days. Payments for rides can be made by check or in cash, providing flexibility for riders.
Transportation is provided through shared van rides, allowing older adults to travel together to their destinations. The program offers curb-to-curb service, ensuring that individuals are safely transported from their pick-up location to their drop-off point. When arranging transportation through the Senior Transportation program, riders are encouraged to plan in advance through the Rides In Advance service, which helps streamline the scheduling process for added convenience and peace of mind.
