Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, or grocery shopping. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old. No membership is required.
The Senior Transportation program is a convenient and reliable non-emergency medical transportation service available to older adults. This public transit program offers transportation via taxi, making it easy for older adults to reach their medical appointments, run errands, or attend social activities. Riders can schedule their trips at least one day in advance and have the option to pay through insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, or membership fees. The program also offers flat fees for local and out-of-parish trips, as well as shopping days at a discounted rate.
In addition to providing private rides in cars, the program accepts various payment methods including Medicaid, checks, credit cards, and cash, ensuring flexibility for older adults. With options for on-demand scheduling and shared rides, the program caters to the diverse transportation needs of older adults. Moreover, the program prioritizes the comfort and convenience of riders by offering door-to-door and curb-to-curb transportation services, allowing them to travel with service animals.
