The Senior Transportation program offers non-emergency medical transportation services to older adults at an hourly rate. This public transit service utilizes taxis and provides private rides via cars or vans, as well as shared rides on a fixed schedule. Riders can schedule transportation a day in advance, ensuring they can access the service when needed. Payments can be made through insurance, vouchers, donations, or Medicaid, with pricing details accommodating various income levels.
Additionally, the program offers paratransit services for those requiring assistance with packages or bags, and accepts various forms of payment including cash, credit cards, checks, and pre-payment. This program prioritizes convenience for older adults by offering door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation, as well as on-demand scheduling for flexibility. Riders can also arrange for the driver to wait while they run errands or attend appointments, providing a comprehensive transportation solution for the older adult community.
