Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, or grocery shopping. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old. No membership is required.
The Elderly Transportation program offers a convenient and reliable transportation option for older adults who are Medicaid recipients. With access to bus or train rides, this program allows older adults to reach their desired destinations in a safe and efficient manner. Riders have the flexibility to schedule their rides a few days in advance, ensuring that they can plan their trips accordingly.
One of the key features of this program is the option for shared rides, which not only promotes social interaction among passengers but also helps in reducing costs. Riders can benefit from curb-to-curb transportation, where they are picked up and dropped off directly at their specified locations, enhancing the overall convenience of the service.
When utilizing the Elderly Transportation program, riders should keep in mind the importance of scheduling their rides in advance through the Rides In Advance system. By taking advantage of this program, older adults can enjoy greater independence and access to transportation services that cater to their specific needs.
