The General Public Transportation program offers convenient and affordable transportation options for older adults. Riders can enjoy the ease of getting around town for a flat fee of $2.00 per person per ride within the city limits. For destinations outside the city, trips are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays for $5.00 per person per ride. Special trips to Wichita are also offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for $25.00 one way or $35.00 round trip.
This program allows older adults to travel via bus or train, providing them with flexibility in their transportation choices. Riders are asked to schedule their trips in advance, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience. Payments can be made in cash, adding to the convenience of using this transportation service. Additionally, the General Public Transportation program offers curb-to-curb transportation, emphasizing the focus on providing a safe and comfortable journey for older adults.
