The Lift Service, also known as Paratransit, offers a convenient transportation option for older adults who may require assistance or accommodations while traveling. This program provides transportation services via bus or train, allowing passengers to reach their destinations safely and efficiently. Riders can take advantage of the affordable pricing options, with a one-way lift fare set at $4 or a strip of 10 tickets available for $40. For those who need additional support, one personal care attendant can accompany the passenger at no extra cost, while escorts or extra attendants are required to pay the $4 fare. To utilize The Lift Service, passengers are required to schedule their rides in advance, typically a few days prior to their intended travel date. Payment methods include cash, check, or pre-payment, offering flexibility for passengers to choose the option that works best for them. Additionally, this program provides shared rides, promoting a sense of community and connection among travelers. When booking transportation through The Lift Service, passengers can expect reliable service and a comfortable journey to their destination.


Service Area

Within 3/4 mile of any fixed route bus line. A premium service will be available for pick-up or drop-off locations outside the ¾-mile corridor, but within the contiguous corporate city limits of Topeka for a fare of $15.00 one way.
