Provides rides for any purpose, to all people, and no membership is required.

The Public Transportation program offers older adults the opportunity to access public transit services through a van transportation service. This program operates on a donation basis, with suggested donations of $2.00 for rides within Plainville city limits and $5.00 for rides outside the city limits. Riders must schedule their trips in advance, typically a few days beforehand, to secure their transportation. The service is provided free of charge, making it an affordable option for older adults needing to travel within and outside Plainville. A key feature of this program is that it provides curb-to-curb transportation, ensuring that older adults can be safely picked up and dropped off at their desired locations. Additionally, riders are allowed to bring their service animals along for the journey, ensuring that they can travel with their furry companions. This service is a valuable resource for older adults looking for a reliable and accessible transportation option to help them maintain their independence and stay connected to the community.
