The Public Transportation program offers convenient and affordable transit options for older adults residing in various counties. For trips within specific counties, riders can enjoy a roundtrip for $7.00, including destinations in Geary, Jackson, Lyon, Morris, Osage, Pottawatomie, Riley, Shawnee, and Wabaunsee. For longer journeys within Kansas or up to 150 miles away, the roundtrip fare is $30.00 to approved locations. Utilizing buses or trains for transport, this program requests that riders book their trips a few days in advance. Payment is accepted in cash, with fares calculated based on the distance traveled. With curb-to-curb transportation services, older adults can rely on this program to access essential destinations, ensuring a reliable and efficient travel experience.
