Provides rides for only the following purposes: medical appointments. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you have a disability. No membership is required.

The Escorted Medical Transportation program provides older adults with a convenient and affordable way to get to their medical appointments. With a cost of $12.00 per appointment, this program offers a valuable service that allows older adults to maintain their independence and access necessary healthcare services. For individuals registered with dial-a-ride, New Trier Township covers $6.00 of the total cost, leaving the remaining $6.00 to be billed to the user by the North Shore Senior Center. To utilize this program, older adults are required to schedule their rides in advance, allowing for proper planning and coordination. Payments can be made by check, cash, or pre-payment, offering flexibility and convenience for participants. Additionally, the program offers escorted service, ensuring that a dedicated driver is available to wait for the passenger during appointments or errands, providing a sense of security and assistance throughout the transportation process. With door-to-door transportation services, older adults can rely on this program to help them reach their medical appointments safely and efficiently.
