The Deviated Fixed-Route Service - Eagle Express is a transportation program that offers affordable travel options for individuals looking to get around the area. With a standard one-way fare of $5.00, older adults aged 65 and above have the opportunity to access discounted fares through the DASH Pass. Older adults can benefit from a reduced fare of $1.00 for the Eagle Express route and a $2.00 cash fare for the Rantoul Connector, making it more budget-friendly for them to commute.
This program provides paratransit services, allowing older adults with mobility challenges to schedule rides in advance. Payment can be made by check or in cash, and the option for pre-payment is available to streamline the transportation process. Riders can expect shared rides and transportation following fixed routes on a scheduled basis, ensuring a reliable and convenient commuting experience. Additionally, the program offers curb-to-curb transportation and accommodates service animals, promoting inclusivity and accessibility for all older adults utilizing the service.
Service Area
The Eagle Express operates within the Village of Rantoul and connects to the cities of Champaign and Urbana. Any passenger may request a route deviation up to a quarter (3/4) mile off of the usual route. Please give prior notice before riding.
