Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, or grocery shopping. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you have a disability. No membership is required.
The Senior Transport program is a donation-based transportation service that offers affordable rides for individuals aged 60 and over. While there is a suggested donation of $2.50 per one-way ride for older adults, those under 60 are required to pay the same amount. This program requires riders to schedule their trips a few days in advance and payment can be made via check or cash.
Participants in the program can enjoy shared van rides that offer curb-to-curb transportation, ensuring older adults can easily reach their destinations. The program, known for its reliability and convenience, is free of charge and provides a valuable service for older adults who may face transportation challenges. When utilizing Senior Transport, riders are encouraged to consider scheduling rides in advance through the Rides In Advance service, allowing them to plan their trips effectively.
