Escorted Transportation Services (ETS) is a flexible and convenient transportation program designed to assist older adults with getting to their destinations safely and comfortably. This program, which operates as a non-emergency medical transportation service, offers rides via taxis, ensuring reliable and efficient transportation for older adults.
Riders have the option to schedule their trips at least one day in advance, providing them with the flexibility to plan their outings accordingly. ETS accepts various forms of payment, including insurance, vouchers or coupons, donations, and Medicaid payments. The program offers a membership and a flat fee structure, with pricing details set at $12.00 per round-trip, billed at the end of the month. Residents of New Trier Township may be eligible for a reduced $6.00 round-trip fee, making the service more accessible to the local community.
ETS prioritizes the comfort and convenience of older adults by providing private rides, assistance with packages or bags, and accommodating service animals. With door-to-door transportation and the option for a driver to wait during errands or appointments, ETS ensures a stress-free and supportive travel experience for older adults in need of transportation assistance.
