Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, or medical appointments. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you have a disability. No membership is required.

The Rider Program is a public transportation service providing non-emergency medical transportation for older adults. This program offers convenient transportation via taxi, allowing older adults to schedule rides at least one day in advance. Riders can pay through various methods, including insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, or a membership fee. The program charges a flat fee structure, where riders pay $1.50 (excluding tips) for rides up to 5 miles, with the village covering the remaining fare up to $8.00. For rides exceeding 5 miles, riders are responsible for any amount over the $8.00 meter fare. Additionally, the Rider Program is a paratransit service, accommodating older adults with packages or bags and offering assistance with door-to-door transportation. This program ensures flexibility by allowing on-demand scheduling, shared rides, and options for payment in cash, check, credit card, or pre-payment. With services provided via car, van, bus, or train, older adults can access reliable transportation following fixed routes or on a scheduled basis. The program prioritizes accessibility by permitting service animals on rides and offering personal drivers who can wait during errands or appointments, catering to the diverse needs of older adult passengers.
