The Public Transportation - Fixed Route Service is a convenient public transit program designed to provide transportation services to older adults, individuals with disabilities, and other passengers at affordable rates. Standard fare for a one-way trip is $1.00, with seniors and disabled persons enrolled in the IL Benefit Access Program eligible to ride for free. Other senior and disabled riders can enjoy a discounted fare of $0.50 per trip.
This program operates on fixed routes and offers shared rides, allowing passengers to travel efficiently while following a predetermined schedule. Riders can pay for their trips using cash or checks and have the option to pre-pay for added convenience. Additionally, the program provides curb-to-curb transportation services, ensuring that passengers are safely transported to their destinations.
