Provides rides for any purpose, as long as you meet one of the following criteria: you are 65+ years old, or you have a disability.

The Runabout Paratransit program offers transportation services for individuals who are eligible under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or those who require assistance due to age-related factors. Pricing for this program is based on specific service zones, with single service zone fares ranging from $3.00 to $6.00 for ADA-eligible riders and $6.00 for non-ADA-eligible riders. For trips that span multiple zones, fares are $4.00 for ADA-eligible riders and $6.00 for non-ADA-eligible riders. Additional charges apply for rides to St. Clair County and St. Louis, as well as for out-of-district trips. To utilize this paratransit service, older adults must schedule their rides in advance, ensuring that transportation needs are met in a timely manner. Payment options include checks, pre-payment, and cash, providing flexibility for riders. Shared rides are also available as part of this program, allowing individuals to travel together and potentially reduce costs. Participants can rely on curb-to-curb transportation, offering convenience and accessibility for those with mobility challenges. Importantly, the Runabout Paratransit program accommodates service animals, enabling older adults to travel with their furry companions when utilizing the transportation services.
