Please make sure to contact Senior Care Volunteer Network: Dignified Senior Transportation to confirm details of their transportation services.
Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social or recreational purposes. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old. No membership is required.
The Dignified Senior Transportation program offers older adults a valuable transportation service through a network of dedicated volunteer drivers. This program operates on a donation basis, allowing older adults to access rides to essential appointments, social events, or outings at no cost, although donations are encouraged to support the program. The program provides door-to-door transportation services using cars, ensuring older adults can travel safely and comfortably to their destinations.
Rides through the Dignified Senior Transportation program can be scheduled in advance, with riders advised to request their transportation needs a few days beforehand to secure a ride. This advance scheduling feature allows older adults to plan their trips effectively and ensures that drivers can accommodate their needs promptly. This initiative, known as Rides In Advance, streamlines the process of arranging transportation for older adults, promoting independence and community engagement.
