Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, or grocery shopping. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old. No membership is required.
Dignified Senior Transportation is a community program that offers transportation services to older adults. The program provides rides using volunteer drivers or through arrangements with local cab services. Volunteer-provided transportation is offered free of charge, though donations are welcomed. For cab rides, the rider is responsible for paying half of the fare, but individuals with an MTD Dash Pass may have the other half covered, as a certain amount of transportation is funded annually.
To utilize the service, older adults are required to schedule their rides at least a few days in advance. Payments can be made by check or in cash. The program ensures that older adults receive curb-to-curb transportation, prioritizing their comfort and convenience. For more information about how to access these transportation services, individuals can contact the program directly.
