Dial-A-Ride is a user-friendly transportation program offering non-emergency medical transportation services to older adults. The program operates as a public transit service, providing convenient rides via taxis for medical appointments and errands within and outside the township. To utilize this program, riders must schedule their trips at least one day in advance, ensuring prompt and reliable service. Dial-A-Ride offers various payment options, including insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, and Medicaid payments, making it accessible to a wide range of individuals. This paratransit program strives to enhance the transportation experience for older adults by offering private rides and assistance with packages or bags when needed. Pricing is transparent, with a flat fee of $2 for trips within the Township and $8 for medical appointments outside the Township. Riders can also enjoy the flexibility of on-demand scheduling, shared rides, and the convenience of a driver who can wait during appointments or errands. Additionally, Dial-A-Ride ensures inclusivity by permitting service animals on board and providing door-to-door and curb-to-curb transportation services.
