Provides rides for any purpose, to all people, and no membership is required.

The Rural Transportation Service is a public transit program that offers transportation for older adults and community members within and around Montpelier. For a flat fee, riders can enjoy one-way trips within an eight-mile radius from Montpelier at a cost of $2.00, which is the suggested donation for individuals aged 60 and older. If the destination is outside this radius but still within Bear Lake County, one-way rides are available for $8.00 for older adults. For trips that extend beyond Bear Lake County, the program offers individual trips starting at $4.00 plus $1.00 per mile. Interested individuals can contact PRT for more information on this specific type of service. Transportation is provided via bus or train, and riders are required to schedule their trips in advance, ensuring prompt and convenient service. Payment for the program can be made in cash. The Rural Transportation Service offers curb-to-curb transportation, providing older adults with a safe and reliable way to reach their destinations. Whether it's a short trip within Montpelier or a longer journey outside Bear Lake County, this program strives to meet the transportation needs of older adults in the community.
