The Home Care program offers non-emergency medical transportation services to older adults through a variety of convenient options, including taxi rides, private car services, and public transit like buses or trains. Riders can schedule their transportation in advance, ranging from a few days to a week, based on their needs. While some programs charge a fee for their services, Home Care also offers options for payment through insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, and Medicaid.
In addition to door-to-door and curb-to-curb transportation services, Home Care ensures the comfort and convenience of its riders by providing assistance with packages or bags and offering drivers who can wait for passengers during errands or appointments. Riders can choose between shared rides or opt for private transportation via van, with the flexibility to pay by the mile, in cash, by check, credit card, or through pre-payment. The program also accommodates service animals, and some services are provided free of charge. With an emphasis on accessibility and tailored assistance, the Home Care program aims to meet the diverse transportation needs of older adults in the community.
