The Patient Transport Program is a service designed to provide older adults with safe and convenient non-emergency medical transportation. This program utilizes taxis as a mode of transportation, offering older adults the flexibility and independence to travel to their medical appointments and run errands. Riders are encouraged to schedule their rides in advance, with options for same-day scheduling available on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, the program accepts various forms of payment, including insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, and Medicaid payments, along with membership and flat fees. For added convenience, the Patient Transport Program offers door-to-door transportation services, allowing older adults to be picked up and dropped off directly at their desired locations. The program also provides assistance with packages or bags and allows riders to bring service animals onboard. Whether older adults need transportation for medical appointments, errands, or social activities, this program aims to meet their needs by offering a range of payment options, on-demand scheduling, and shared rides when possible.
