Benton County Transportation offers a convenient and affordable transportation option for older adults residing in Vinton & Belle Plaine. Through this program, older adults can access rides within town for $2.50, as well as in-country rides for $7 for distances up to 10 miles from the garage, and $10 for distances exceeding 10 miles. Additionally, out-of-county rides are available for $10. Transportation is provided via bus or train, with scheduling required at least a few days in advance to secure a ride. Payments for rides can be made by cash or check, and riders are charged based on the distance traveled. The program ensures a seamless experience by offering curb-to-curb transportation, prioritizing the comfort and convenience of older adults. When utilizing Benton County Transportation, riders are encouraged to plan ahead with the Rides In Advance feature, allowing for efficient and reliable transportation services tailored to their needs.
