MuscaBus-Public Transit is a convenient transportation program designed to provide older adults with accessible and affordable transportation options. This public transit program offers two pricing options: Paratransit rides for $4 per trip and fixed route rides for just $0.75 per trip. Participants in this program can utilize paratransit services, which are personalized and scheduled in advance to cater to individual needs. Alternatively, older adults can take advantage of fixed route services, following pre-established schedules and routes via bus or train. Riders have the flexibility to pay for their transportation using checks, cash, or pre-paid options. To ensure a smooth and efficient commute, passengers are encouraged to schedule their rides a few days in advance, especially for the paratransit services. Additionally, shared rides are available, offering a cost-effective and environmentally friendly way to travel within the community. MuscaBus-Public Transit aims to provide safe and reliable transportation for older adults, promoting independence and mobility for all participants.
