The Home Health Aide/Homemaker Services program offers non-emergency medical transportation for older adults, providing convenient transportation via taxi or a private car for medical appointments, errands, and social activities. Riders can schedule rides in advance, with the option to arrange for a driver who will wait for them during appointments or errands. This program is part of a public transit service and offers paratransit assistance, ensuring that older adults with mobility challenges can travel comfortably. Payment options include insurance, vouchers, donations, and Medicaid, with the flexibility to use cash, checks, credit cards, or pre-payments. While some riders may be charged a membership fee or a flat fee, others may qualify for free services, depending on the program's pricing structure. The program also enables on-demand scheduling for shared rides, offering door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation along fixed routes.
