Learn More About This Program

Please make sure to contact City of Dubuque: Mini Bus to confirm details of their transportation services.

Provides rides for any purpose, as long as you meet one of the following criteria: you are 65+ years old, or you have a disability.

The Mini Bus program offers transportation services for older adults within the Dubuque city limits. This paratransit service allows individuals to schedule rides at least one day in advance for a flat fee. Riders have the option to choose between paying $3 for a one-way trip or purchasing a 10-ride Punch Card for $30. Payment can be made using credit card or cash. One of the key features of the Mini Bus program is the provision of shared rides, allowing multiple passengers to travel together. Additionally, riders have the flexibility to bring a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) on their trips, with approved PCAs exempt from paying a fare. Guests are also permitted to accompany riders, though they will be required to pay the same fare as the main passenger. For added convenience, the Mini Bus program offers door-to-door transportation services, ensuring that older adults can access essential travel within the city. Whether it's a bus or train journey, this program strives to meet the diverse transportation needs of older adults in the community.
