This program utilizes taxis for transportation and is accessible to individuals with varying mobility needs as it is a paratransit service. Riders can schedule rides at least one day in advance for convenient planning and are charged a flat fee of $1 for pickup and $1 per mile, with a $5 minimum fare. Caregivers can accompany riders at no additional cost.
In addition to accepting payment through insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, and Medicaid, this program also allows for pre-payment via credit card or cash. The service is tailored to meet the needs of older adults by providing door-to-door transportation, assistance with luggage, and the option to include service animals on the ride. Conveniently, the program offers on-demand scheduling, shared rides, and the possibility for the driver to wait while the rider completes errands or attends appointments.
