The First Contact helpline counselors can help you find shelter and support programs and services. If you and your family are homeless or may become homeless, the counselors will work with you to:
- Provide emotional support
- Find out about your needs and homeless situation
- Screen you for placement in a shelter and get you on a waiting list and into a shelter when beds are available
- Refer you to support programs where you can get food and a place to take a shower
- Provide information about services that are available, such as legal help, cash assistance, programs to help with basic needs, and medical care
How do I get help?
You can get help by calling 2-1-1 and speaking to a counselor.
