This program can help you stay in your home if you have a disability. It provides grants to make changes to your home and make it more accessible. The type of home of home improvements include:
- Stairway modification
- Ramp installation or modification
- Widening of doorways and hallways
- Installation of appropriate bathroom fixtures
- Adjustments to the level of countertops or other surfaces
- Adapting the home to manage issues related to Alzheimer's Disease or related dmentia conditions
- Changes to stoves, ovens, thermostats, and other devises in the home to help you use them if you have vision or hearing loss.
How do I apply?
To apply, fill out a paper application or contact Alaska CDC (Community Development Corporation).
