This program gives you health care and support services so that you can stay in your own home and stay independent. This program can help you take care of your everyday needs with the following services:

  • Homemaking: This includes help with housework, laundry, shopping, and running errands.
  • Personal care: A service professional will help you with your daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Meals: This gives you home-delivered meals.

Feeding America Network of Food Banks
You can get meals and groceries at no cost through Feeding America’s network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs. The program serves people in nearly every community in all 50 states, District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. The program is free and confidential.
Senior Nutrition Program – Community or Group Meals
This program provides you with at least one hot meal per day, five or more days a week. The meals are usually provided in locations such as senior centers, schools, or churches. You can take part in this program if you are 60 or older. You can also get help from this program if you are disabled and you live with older adults.
Michigan Food Assistance Program
This program gives you a special debit card to help you buy food if you have a limited income.
