The Public Transportation program offers affordable transportation options for older adults residing in Crisp County. For trips within a 10-mile radius in the county, riders can access one-way trips for only $1.00. For longer trips exceeding 10 miles, or those that extend outside Crisp County, a base rate of $3.00 is charged in addition to ¢.50 per mile for each one-way journey. The program provides transport services through buses or trains, ensuring diverse travel choices for older adults. To utilize this program, older adults must schedule their rides in advance, typically a few days prior to the intended travel date. Payment for transportation services can be made via check or cash, providing flexibility and convenience for riders.
