This program offers transportation services through taxis, providing older adults with a safe and efficient way to travel to their medical appointments or run errands within a 10-mile radius. Riders can schedule their rides in advance, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs. The pricing details include a flat fee of $25 for the first hour with a minimal wait time, and an additional $1 for every extra hour. Additional miles beyond the radius are charged at $0.14 per mile. Moreover, Senior & Community Services accommodates various payment options, including insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, and Medicaid payments. For added convenience, riders can pre-pay for their rides using credit cards, checks, or cash. This program also emphasizes inclusivity by allowing service animals on board and providing paratransit services, ensuring that older adults with mobility challenges can access transportation without any barriers.
