Provides rides for any purpose, to all people, and no membership is required.

The Rural Public Transportation program provides a convenient and affordable transportation option for older adults needing non-emergency medical transportation or access to public transit. This program operates through taxi services, offering rides that can be scheduled in advance, typically at least one day prior. Riders have various payment options, including insurance, vouchers, donations, and a membership fee or flat fee structure. In-county rides are priced at $4 for one-way trips or $8 for round trips, while out-of-county trips cost $9 for one-way and $18 for round-trip rides. Additionally, the program offers paratransit services, ensuring that older adults with mobility challenges or disabilities receive the necessary assistance and accommodations. Riders can expect door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation services, with the option to have a driver wait during errands or appointments. The program also caters to shared rides, allowing multiple passengers to travel together, promoting community and social interactions during transit. Riders are encouraged to schedule their transportation needs in advance, taking advantage of the program's flexibility and reliability.
