The Rural Transportation program offers non-emergency medical transportation for older adults through taxi services and public transit. Riders must schedule their trips at least one day in advance and can pay using insurance, vouchers, donations, or a flat fee. The program accepts Medicaid payments and offers discounted rates for older adults. The pricing ranges from $3 to $5 or more depending on the distance traveled. The program includes paratransit services, allowing riders to bring packages or bags and providing assistance with door-to-door transportation. Additionally, it offers on-demand scheduling, shared rides, and both fixed route and private car transportation options for added convenience. Riders are welcome to pay with cash, credit cards, checks, or pre-pay for their trips.
