Alterman/JETS Transportation is a versatile non-emergency medical transportation program designed to cater to the transportation needs of older adults. This program offers convenient transportation options via taxi, car, bus, train, and van, making it a reliable choice for those requiring transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or social outings. Riders can schedule rides in advance, whether it's a day, a few days, or even a week prior, providing flexibility and ensuring they reach their destinations on time. In terms of payment, Alterman/JETS Transportation accepts various forms of payment, including insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, Medicaid, checks, pre-payment, and credit card payments. The program also offers subsidies for qualifying individuals, with a limit of four round trips per month. For new riders who do not qualify for subsidies, the pricing ranges from $40 to $45 per trip. Additionally, this program provides door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation, accommodating passengers with service animals and assisting with packages or bags as needed. Alterman/JETS Transportation prioritizes passenger comfort and convenience by offering private rides, shared rides, and a driver who can wait for the passenger during errands or appointments. With its paratransit services and fixed route options, this program ensures that older adults have access to safe and affordable transportation, enhancing their mobility and independence in the community.
