The Companionship Service with Transportation program offers non-emergency medical transportation for older adults through taxis and public transit. Riders can schedule rides at least one day in advance and pay using insurance, vouchers, donations, or Medicaid. Pricing details include a 4-hour minimum requirement, charged at $16.75 per hour plus $0.35 per mile. This program also provides paratransit services, assisting riders with packages or bags, and allows for on-demand scheduling and shared rides. Riders can pay with cash, credit card, check, or pre-payment and take advantage of services such as a driver waiting for them during errands or appointments. Door-to-door, curb-to-curb, and fixed route transportation options are available, with service animals permitted on board.
