Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social or recreational purposes. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you have a disability. No membership is required.
The Transportation Service program is a versatile transportation option for older adults that offers non-emergency medical transportation via taxi or public transit, including private rides and paratransit services. Riders have the flexibility to schedule their trips in advance, with on-demand scheduling available in some cases. This program is designed to accommodate various payment options, including insurance, vouchers, donations, and Medicaid payments. Pricing is set at $10 one-way for most riders, with free services available for low-income residents.
Additionally, the program provides a range of convenient features such as assistance with packages, door-to-door transportation, and the option for the driver to wait during errands or appointments. The program accepts payment in various forms including cash, credit card, and check, and ensures accessibility by allowing service animals on board.
