Provides rides for any purpose, as long as you meet one of the following criteria: you are 60+ years old.
The Transportation Options Program for Service (TOPS) is a versatile transportation service tailored to the needs of older adults. This program provides non-emergency medical transportation through taxi services and public transit options. Riders can schedule rides in advance, with a requirement of at least one day's notice for regular rides. The program offers the flexibility of accepting various forms of payment, including insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, and Medicaid payments.
TOPS also features a membership fee, flat fee structure, and voluntary contribution pricing model of $10 one way or $20 round trip. Additionally, the program offers paratransit services, allowing riders to be assisted with packages or bags, receive door-to-door transportation, and travel with service animals. Riders can choose from a range of vehicles such as cars, vans, buses, or trains and can opt for private or shared rides based on their preferences. For added convenience, TOPS allows on-demand scheduling and accepts payment in cash, checks, credit cards, or pre-payment. Consider scheduling rides in advance, with options ranging from three business days to up to a month, and enjoy the flexibility of a driver who will wait during errands or appointments.
