Provides rides for any purpose, to all people, and no membership is required.
Regional Transit is a versatile transportation program tailored to meet the non-emergency medical transportation needs of older adults. This program offers a range of services, including private car rides, taxis, and public transit options like buses and trains. Riders have the flexibility to schedule rides ahead of time, with the requirement to book at least one day in advance for most services.
To ensure affordability and accessibility, Regional Transit accepts various forms of payment such as insurance, Medicaid, vouchers, donations, and credit cards. The pricing structure is designed to be reasonable, with a flat fee of $3 for up to 10 miles and an additional $0.50 per mile thereafter. Additionally, there is a membership fee required for access to the program.
One of the key features of Regional Transit is its commitment to providing door-to-door transportation services for older adults, ensuring a convenient and stress-free travel experience. Riders can also benefit from added assistance, such as having drivers who are willing to wait during errands or appointments. With options for on-demand scheduling, shared rides, and accommodating service animals, Regional Transit aims to cater to the diverse needs of older adults seeking reliable transportation for their medical needs.
