Please make sure to contact Jewish Family Services of Greater Orlando: Rides Program to confirm details of their transportation services.
Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, or grocery shopping. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 65+ years old, you have a disability, or you have no other means of transportation. No membership is required.
The Rides Program is a community initiative that offers older adults access to transportation services via car. Participants in this program can benefit from two complimentary rides each month within a ten-mile radius of their home, making it easier to attend appointments, run errands, or socialize with others. This service is provided free of charge, with additional assistance available for carrying packages or bags during the ride.
To take advantage of the Rides Program, riders are required to schedule their trips in advance, typically a few days beforehand, ensuring that their transportation needs are accommodated smoothly. The program prides itself on its commitment to providing reliable and convenient transportation options for older adults, prioritizing their safety and comfort throughout the journey. For more information on how to access this valuable service, individuals are encouraged to reach out directly to the program coordinators at Rides In Advance.
