Paratransit Services offers transportation options for older adults with different mobility needs. The program caters to ambulatory individuals, wheelchair users, and those requiring non-emergency stretcher vans. Pricing varies based on the type of transport needed, with the rates subject to change. Ambulatory rides cost $2.75 each way, wheelchair van rides are priced at $5.50 each way, and non-emergency stretcher van rides are $40 each way plus $2.34 per mile. To utilize this service, riders must schedule their trips in advance, typically a few days beforehand. Payment can be made by check or in cash for added convenience. Paratransit Services arranges shared rides using vans and calculates charges based on the distance traveled. When booking a ride through this program, it is essential to plan ahead to ensure transportation needs are met promptly and efficiently.
