Provides rides for any purpose, as long as you meet one of the following criteria: you are 60+ years old, you have a disability, or you have no other means of transportation.

Dial a Ride is a transportation program designed to assist older adults with their mobility needs. This program offers affordable rates, with a base rate of $2.00 each way. Additionally, there is a $1.00 discount available for identified Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) passengers, who simply need to inform the program when making their trip arrangements. To utilize Dial a Ride, older adults are required to schedule their rides in advance, typically a few days beforehand. Payment for the service can be made conveniently either by check or in cash. The program operates transportation through vans, providing a comfortable and reliable mode of travel. Dial a Ride ensures a seamless experience by offering curb-to-curb transportation for the convenience of older adults.


Service Area

All of Charlotte County located west of the Myakka River (excluding the barrier islands, but including the Charlotte County portion of Boca Grande Island). It serves all of mid-county, located between the Myakka and the Peace Rivers, and includes the Punta Gorda area, extending as far south as Tropical Gulf Acres, east to the Charlotte County Airport, and north to Peace River Shores on US-17. Service on Burnt Store Road extends to South Punta Gorda Heights (Scham Road).
