The In-Home Care transportation program offers non-emergency medical transportation services to older adults through taxi service and public transit. Riders are required to schedule their rides in advance, with pricing details including a 2-hour minimum at a flat rate of $45.00, starting at $15.00 per hour after two hours, plus $0.50 per mile. The program accepts various forms of payment, including insurance, vouchers, donations, and Medicaid payments. Additionally, a membership fee and flat fee apply for utilizing the services. This paratransit program is designed to provide convenient and flexible transportation options, offering private rides via car, bus, train, or van. Riders can schedule on-demand rides or plan in advance, with the program accommodating pre-payments and various payment methods such as cash, check, and credit cards. The program ensures a comfortable and inclusive experience by providing door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation, allowing riders to travel with service animals. Additionally, riders can request assistance with packages or bags, and drivers are available to wait for passengers during errands or appointments, making transportation with In-Home Care convenient and reliable for older adults.
