The In-Home Care transportation program is designed to assist older adults with non-emergency medical transportation needs. This program offers convenient transportation options via taxi, ensuring that older adults can easily access essential medical appointments, grocery shopping, social outings, and more. The program arranges rides based on scheduled appointments, requiring riders to book their transportation at least a day in advance to secure their preferred time slot. In terms of payment, the program offers flexibility by accepting insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, and Medicaid payments. Riders can opt for a membership fee or pay a flat fee for their trips, with pricing starting at $40.00 for a minimum of 2 hours plus $0.30 per mile. Additional hours are billed at $18.00 per hour after the initial 2 hours. The program ensures affordability and accessibility by offering various payment options, including check, credit card, pre-payment, and cash. Moreover, the In-Home Care program provides a range of services to enhance the overall transportation experience for older adults. Riders can expect door-to-door transportation, assistance with packages or bags, and a driver who will patiently wait during errands or appointments.
