The Clay County Council on Aging offers a public transit program that provides affordable transportation services for older adults, individuals with disabilities, children 6 years old and under, and those with a Medicare card. With a cost of $1.00 per one-way trip for general riders and $0.50 per one-way trip for qualifying individuals, the program also offers a Monthly In County Pass for $25.00, allowing for unlimited rides within the county. Passengers can request deviations from the fixed routes for an additional fee of $1.00. Furthermore, for those needing transportation to another city, a round trip is available for $3.00. The program accepts various forms of payment, including insurance, check, and cash, ensuring convenience for riders. With a fixed schedule in place, passengers can easily plan their trips in advance and rely on the program's consistent and reliable transportation services.
