Transportation Service is a comprehensive transportation program designed to provide older adults with convenient and accessible non-emergency medical transportation options. Riders can schedule private rides via taxi or car at their convenience, ensuring they can attend medical appointments, run errands, or simply travel around the community as needed. The program offers flexibility in payment methods, accepting insurance, vouchers, donations, credit cards, checks, and cash, making it easy for riders to choose the most suitable option for them.
Additionally, Transportation Service operates as a paratransit program, catering to individuals with mobility challenges by offering door-to-door and curb-to-curb transportation services. Riders can also benefit from shared rides, fixed-route services via bus or train, and the assistance of drivers who are willing to wait during appointments or errands. With the option for on-demand scheduling and the acceptance of Medicaid payments, this program prioritizes the comfort and safety of older adults, ensuring they can maintain their independence and stay connected within the community.
