What is the Delaware River Port Authority Toll Bridge Discount Program?

The Delaware River Port Authority offers a senior discount program for drivers age 65 and older. This program provides a 50% discount on passenger vehicle tolls for the following bridges:

  • Ben Franklin Bridge
  • Walt Whitman Bridge
  • Commodore Barry Bridge
  • Betsy Ross Bridge

Bridge tolls are typically $6, but those enrolled in the discount program will only pay $3. This program is for vehicles registered in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware and applies to a specific E-ZPass tag and vehicle.

Am I eligible?

To qualify for the senior discount program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be 65 years or older.
  • Have a non-commercial NJ E-ZPass account.
  • Own a vehicle registered in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware.
  • Ensure the vehicle is registered in the applicant’s name.

How do I apply?

To apply for the program, start by gathering the necessary documents, including proof of residency, income, and a driver’s license. Once you have everything, you can submit your application online or by mail. Be sure to double-check your information before submitting.

Follow these steps to apply for the program:

1. Set Up a New Jersey E-ZPass Account

  • New Accounts: Apply online at www.ezpassnj.com or call 1-888-288-6865.
  • Existing Accounts: If you are enrolled in the DRPA Commuter Discount Plan, remove that plan before applying.

2. Complete the Application

3. Submit a completed Senior Discount Program application.

4. Include legible copies of:

  • Your valid driver’s license.
  • Your vehicle registration.

5. Mail Your Documents

6. Send the application and required documents to:

Allow 4–5 weeks for your application to be processed. Once you have been enrolled, you will receive confirmation by mail or email. You can also log into your E-ZPass account online to check enrollment.
